Shanghai for SME’s:

Knowsley Council organised an event on Wednesday 27th January to advise its business community on how to maximise the benefits of the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai.

This is a golden opportunity for Knowsley business of all sizes to expand their trade horizons. Next years Shanghai World Expo is going to be the biggest business event of the year, and Liverpool is the only city from the UK to have its own presence.

Running from May to October 2010, it is expected to attract 70 million visitors to a city at the hub of the world’s fastest growing and most dynamic economy.

Mike Taylor (Director of Investment and Enterprise at Liverpool Vision, who is heading up Liverpool’s World Expo Project) gave a presentation and explained the opportunities available for SMEs in Knowsley to make contact with businesses not only from China but also the 200 plus other countries and cities taking part.
