Are you prepared for disruption?
Merseyside Police, working in conjunction with Knowsley Council and Knowsley Chamber of Industry & Commerce, are running a free Project ARGUS event on Friday 26 March 2010 at Knowsley Community College, Kirkby 0930 - 1300 hrs to help you prepare for disruptive events.
Although the likelihood of terrorist incidents or other major disruptive events is generally low, we all know that such incidents do sometimes occur, so it makes sense for your business to be prepared. Project ARGUS provides a unique opportunity to judge the readiness of your business to respond to disruptive events, increase your knowledge of terrorist issues, compare notes on resilience and preparedness with other local businesses, or just experience a well-run security exercise. No prior preparation or specialist knowledge is needed.
Places are limited and will be allocated on a ‘first-come, first-served’ basis. To ensure you don’t miss out book your place now using the link below or call 0151 477 1356.
What is Project Argus?
Project ARGUS is a National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO) initiative, delivered by local Counter Terrorism Security Advisors in conjunction with other agencies including the local authority, which explores ways to aid you in preventing, handling and recovering from a terrorist attack and to improve your preparedness for disruptive events.
What you can expect?
This is a completely FREE event which takes you through a realistic scenario using a multi-media simulation to help you understand how the emergency services and other agencies respond to major incidents. You will work individually and in small syndicate groups with other local business representatives to face a series of questions and challenges. The event will touch on business continuity, resilience and recovery issues as well as the emergency response phase. No prior preparation or specialist knowledge is needed. The whole event, including a coffee break, will last three hours.
